Our team of Community Volunteers are led by a Community Volunteer and Awareness Supervisor. Community Volunteers provide low-key support to families and individuals in a variety of ways. Our Community Volunteers are usually members of the serving community from Catterick Garrison. However, if you are married to a serviceman or woman, or from the wider local community you can also train to become a Community Volunteer.
CRB Checks and references are taken up on all applicants. You will also receive mandatory Core Training on your role before commencing your work as a Community Volunteer. You will also, once you have completed the Core Training, be encouraged to take up further training to develop your skills. All our Community Volunteers work with our Community Volunteer and Awareness Supervisor who allocates tasks and supervises the work undertaken. All reasonable out of pocket expenses and travelling expenses will be reimbursed to our Community Volunteers when incurred as part of their support work. If you are interested in applying to become a Community Volunteer please ring Mia Felton in the first instance - see our Contact Us page for details. We will then arrange a time to meet and chat with you in depth about what is involved. Registered Charity No:210760 | Registered Charity (Scotland) No:SC038056
